Hi! My name is Mrs. LeAnn Sulecki.  I am a life-long Dearborn resident having graduated from Dearborn High in 1980 after attending Lindbergh Elementary and the former Adams Junior High.  I graduated from college the first time with a dual major in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education.  I received my master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Early Childhood Education in 1995.  My husband and I have 2 grown children.  Our daughter graduated from Western Michigan University last year and is now teaching elementary and middle school students to play orchestra instruments in Dubuque, Iowa.  Our son is currently attending Western Michigan University and will graduate in December of 2014 with a degree in band instrument music education.  Sara and Michael are both graduates of the Dearborn Public School System having attended Howard Elementary, Bryant Middle School, and graduating from Dearborn High.  They both participated in the instrumental music programs at all 3 schools, which is why they are in, or going into, Instrumental Music Education and English Literature.  They will continue a long line of educators from my side of the family.  I enjoy teaching Kindergarten and would like to thank the parents for allowing me to play a role in their child’s education.  We’re having a great year and I look forward to experiencing more and more successes with your son/daughter as the year progresses.

Hello, I am the Parent Liaison at Oakman Elementary. I strive to create a personal connection with the parents and families of our school. I graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts  in Social Science majoring in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. I married, moved to Dearborn in 1995 and continued my education. We live in the wonderful community of Springwells Park, which reminds me of my childhood hometown. I would not choose a different place to live in all of Michigan or a different district to work for. My husband has been the middle school counselor at Lowrey School for 21 years and both my children attend Fordson High School. We are proud to be a Dearborn Public Schools family. I hope through my work I can help bridge the gap between home and school.I can guide you to resources within our school system or within the city of Dearborn. You can reach me at

Ms.Gaye Shreve – Media Secretary

Shreve

I grew up in a suburb of Chicago, but moved to Dearborn 36 years ago when I married my husband, Mark, who attended Dearborn schools K-12. We have 3 adult daughters. I enjoy helping students in the library to find books that they want to read, especially since I never learned to enjoy reading until I was in my 20s, and I hope to help them to learn to love reading. I love to read now, but wonder how my life might have been different if only I’d learned to enjoy reading when I was in elementary school. I love reading both adult books and children’s books, and even enjoy making repairs to worn books and putting books back on the library shelves. Besides reading, my hobbies include playing guitar and singing, rollerblading, and swimming.
