 Mrs. LeAnn Sulecki- Kindergarten

Hi! My name is Mrs. LeAnn Sulecki. I am a life-long Dearborn resident having graduated from Dearborn High in 1980 after attending Lindbergh Elementary and the former Adams Junior High. I graduated from college the first time with a dual major in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I received my master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Early Childhood Education in 1995. I just received my ESL endorsement this summer. My husband and I have 2 grown children. Our daughter graduated from Western Michigan University last year and is now teaching elementary and middle school students to play orchestra instruments in Dubuque, Iowa. Our son is currently attending Western Michigan University and will graduate in December with a degree in band instrument music education. Sara and Michael are both graduates of the Dearborn Public School System having attended Howard Elementary, Bryant Middle School, and graduating from Dearborn High. They both participated in the instrumental music programs at all 3 schools, which is why they are in, or going into, Instrumental Music Education and English Literature. They will continue a long line of educators from my side of the family. I enjoy teaching Kindergarten and would like to thank the parents for allowing me to play a role in their child’s education.

Mrs. Michelle Rawson-Kindergarten

Hi, my name is Michelle Rawson. Check my blog for updates on school events, daily postings on what we are learning about in kindergarten, homework reminders, links for fun educational websiteMy name is Michelle Rawson and this is my second year in the Oakman family and my second year teaching kindergarten.  I taught third grade for five years before switching to Kindergarten.  I have enjoyed this change mostly because it is so neat to see the huge leap that kindergarteners make in just one school year- it is truly special to see my students grow into readers!  I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and most of my extended family still lives there so we visit often.  I currently live in Dearborn with my husband, son, and our dog, Mabel.  My family enjoys traveling and boating/swimming.  I am looking forward to another wonderful school year with my Oakman family! Please join mys, recommendations for cool learning apps for children, and so much more! I truly believe that communication between parents and teachers is key to student success! Let’s have a great year full of fun and learning!

Mrs.Gaye Shreve – Media Secretary

I grew up in a suburb of Chicago, but moved to Dearborn 36 years ago when I married my husband, Mark, who attended Dearborn schools K-12. We have 3 adult daughters. I enjoy helping students in the library to find books that they want to read, especially since I never learned to enjoy reading until I was in my 20s, and I hope to help them to learn to love reading. I love to read now, but wonder how my life might have been different if only I’d learned to enjoy reading when I was in elementary school. I love reading both adult books and children’s books, and even enjoy making repairs to worn books and putting books back on the library shelves. Besides reading, my hobbies include playing guitar and singing, rollerblading, and swimming.
