Tomorrow is the last day to return your Minion Reading logs for Reading Month. Be sure to turn them in to your teacher completed with the reading and times you have completed. Tomorrow the top 2 in each class will be announced. Tickets for Thursday’s Minion Party will also be distributed.

Grades 3-5 will be celebrated from 1:30-2:15.
Grades PreK-2 will be celebrated from 2:20-3:15.
We will be celebrating Honor Roll, Most Improved, Bucket fillers and Oakman Mathematicians! If your child is being awarded, please join us!
Oakman’s Ecology Club raffled off beautiful themed baskets filled with fun toys, books and food. This collaborative effort by students, staff and families will result in a bike rack for our school. Way to go Oakman!!
Thank you to all the students, families and staff for a successful and fun evening. We gave away many great books and loved the excitement the students expressed for the books and reading. Thank you also to the PTA for helping make this event a success.

Oakman School will be holding a family event on Monday 3/26/2018. Bingo for Books is a great fun activity for all members of the family, and a nice way to finish up our activities for March’s Reading Month. We hope you will able to join us and share the fun!
What: Bingo for Books
- Free books will be awarded to bingo winners.
- Raffle tickets ( $1 each) for gift cards.
- Our PTA will also be selling goods and snacks in the cafeteria.

Aren’t we so lucky at Oakman? This week we had a constant flow of guest readers. We thank you all for your support and for advocating for our students. We had Nadra Lamberti, the director of Cotter Preschool, State Representative Sylvia Santana, Fordson Athlete Readers
Please consider donating clean and empty egg cartons to our Young 5s class. You can send them in with your child and have them drop them off in Mrs. Mehrhof’s room.
