HELLO PARENTS,
1.Please send $1 with your child to purchase a pumpkin and participate in the Pumpkin Patch event on Monday, October 29th. Don’t let your child miss this fun outdoor event. They will go to the hay patch and pick the pumpkin of their choice to take home for only $1. Thank you to Hajj Wesam of Greenland Market for his help in getting the pumpkins for our children.
2. The Classroom Pumpkin Contest will be on display on Monday, October 29th. Children will be able to vote for their favorite pumpkin for $0.25 per vote and each pumpkin will go home for Halloween with a lucky winner! Thank you to Arabian Village Market on Dix Ave for donating 12 pumpkins for the contest. Please support the businesses that support Oakman School!
3. There will be a bake sale on Tuesday, October 30 at the Boo Bash. We ask that you send goods in the morning from the bakery or home made ones like CUPCAKES, cookies, brownies, Sfoof, mini cakes, muffins, donuts and juice boxes. You can send them early on Monday to beat the rush at the bakery. Please do not send items that cannot be sold individually. Each child will be given a toy/trinket of appreciation by the PTA for their donation.
4. On Tuesday, October 30th, join the PTA and Oakman staff for the Boo Bash from 6-7:30pm. There will be food and Book Bingo in the cafeteria, Halloween crafts in the art room, and lots of fun in the gym. Wear your best costume for Walgreens pictures or get your face painted or henna done by a professional artist. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes . Masks are allowed. There will also be a raffle which will include gift baskets and two HYPE ATHLETIC CENTER MEMBERSHIPS for three months each. That is amazing!
This event is for Oakman students and families only.
PARENTS MUST STAY WITH THEIR CHILD AS THEY MOVE FROM ROOM TO ROOM. Entrance to the event is $1 per person. All will be charged admittance except babies in strollers. NO HIGHSCHOOL OR MIDDLE SCHOOL CHILDREN ALLOWED WITHOUT AN OAKMAN STUDENT AS THEIR SIBLING. THIS IS NOT A HANG OUT!
5. Wednesday October 31st is a late start.
