March PTA News
February was a great month for the PTA for many reasons. We had a huge Core Value Assembly and 100 students were honored for Students of the Month, Bucketfilling and Math Masters. We will have another assembly in April after the next marking period. Students please keep studying your math facts, be good citizens and read read read! Maybe you will be chosen next time. The PTA provided each student honored with a bookmark, pencil and Awada bucks to spend at the school store which is every Thursday.
The math parent meetings in February were well attended. Thank you to all the parents that came and supported Oakman staff to learn about our math program so you can help your child excel at home.
Join us each Tuesday and Thursday in March for Parent Talk with Ms. Margaret King Ahmad to learn effective parenting skills.
Valentine Candygrams were a hit as usual and our Friday popcorn sales are generating weekly funds to help support Oakman School’s needs.
Lastly, check out our school’s main blog for pictures posted! We had a great time at the annual Founder’s Day celebration. Oakman School had two tables of parent volunteers attend with Mr. Awada and staff. What a great night we had. Mr. Awada and Ms. L Faraj won baskets from the raffle. Congratulations!
