I hope this letter finds you and loved ones well and in good spirits. Oakman Elementary cordially invites you to attend a very important informational meeting Thursday May 23, 2013 beginning at 9 AM in the Oakman Gym located on 7545 Chase Road. Specific details about the Henry Ford Collegiate Academy and the Dearborn Public School Bond Proposal will be discussed.
The Henry Ford Collegiate Academy is a Dearborn Public Schools initiative enabling students to enroll in college level coursework during high school and graduate with an associate’s degree thereby saving parents thousands of dollars in future college tuition cost. Simply put this is a great opportunity for Dearborn families.
Additionally a detailed presentation of the Dearborn Public Schools Bond Proposal and the impact it will have on school infrastructure, school security, property taxes, property values and your child’s education will follow. At the conclusion of each presentation parents and community members will have the opportunity to address specific questions to House of Representative Member George Darany, Superintendent Brian Whiston, Associate Superintendent of Secondary Instruction Dr. Gail Shenkman, Associate Superintendent of Elementary Instruction Dr. Jill Chochol, Director of Communications David Mustonen and OCR Coordinator Hassane Jaafar. Breakfast sponsored and served by the PTA after the meeting.
Your attendance and assistance with getting the message out to the community is critical and appreciated. Please bring friends, neighbors, business owners and community members as these initiatives impact every citizen in Dearborn!

أهالي مدرسة أوكمن, اولياء الامور وافراد الجالية,
نرجو من الله ان تصلكم هذه الرسالة بأتم الصحة والعافية. يسر مدرسة اوكمن الابتدائية ان تدعوكم لحضور اجتماع مهم جدا بخصوص اقتراح السند المطروح بشأن مدارس ديربون العامة وكلية هنري فورد وذلك نهار الخميس الموافق 23 أيارمايو 2013 في قاعة الرياضة.
ان كلية هنري فورد هي مبادرة من مدارس ديربورن العامة حيث تمكن الطلاب من الانخراط في صفوف على مستوى الكلية وهم في المرحلة الثانوية ومن ثم الحصول على شهادة مما يوفر على الاهل الكثير من التكاليف والمصاريف الجامعية في المستقبل. بكل بساطة تعتبر هذه فرصة لا تعوض لعائلات مدينة ديربورن.
بالاضافة الى ذلك,يتخلل هذا الاجتماع عرض مفصل من جميع الاعضاء على مدى تأثير هذا المشروع على البنى التحتية للمدارس, أمن المدارس, الضرائب العقارية, القيمة العقارية وتعليم اولادكم. في ختام هذا الاجتماع تتاح الفرصة للجميع بطرح الاسئلة والاستفسارات على عضو مجلس الشيوخ جورج ديراني, مدير عام مدارس ديربورن براين ويستون, مساعدة المدير العام للمرحلة الثانوية د. غايل شانكمن, مساعدة المدير العام للمرحلة الابتدائية د. جيل شوكل, مدير العلاقات العامة دايفد موستونن, ومنسق اللغة العربية والانكليزية في مدارس ديربورن عامة الاستاذ حسان جعفر.
ان حضوركم ومساعدتكم امر بالغ الاهمية في توصيل الرسالة الى جميع افراد الجالية. كما نرجو منكم المساهمة في دعوة جيرانكم, اصدقائكم, اصحاب الاعمال التجارية وغيرهم من المعنيين بما ان هذه المبادرة تؤثر على كل مواطن في ديربورن!
