During her parent meeting she taught a mini lesson on summarizing text including main events and sequencing.
Octupi are hung in the classroom to display student work.
Ms. Earle had a great turn out for her 2nd grade parent meeting as well. She did a lesson on retelling and summarizing using the re-telling rope as a model to children. This is a strategy used from the CAFE menu. The rope helps children re-tell the story they just heard by prompting them to answer questions from the paper attached to it.

The total for the whole school was 1546. Half the items were donated to HYPE to distribute to the needy while the other half were donated to a local church.
