THIS WEEK’S EVENTS 3-19 TO 3-23 AND BOOK FAIR ALL WEEK LONG

THE BOOK FAIR IS OPEN ALL WEEK LONG. THERE ARE BOOKS FOR $2 TO $5 ON CLEARANCE AND POSTERS FOR ONLY $1.  MARCH IS READING MONTH AND WE ARE PROMOTING LITERACY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.  ALSO,  THE TEACHER HAS A WISH LIST AND YOUR CHILD CAN DONATE AND BUY A BOOK AS A GIFT TO THE CLASSROOM LIBRARY. STICKERS WILL BE GIVEN TO PASTE IN THE COVER OF THE BOOK THAT SAYS TO AND FROM. THIS IS  A GREAT KEEPSAKE FOR THE TEACHER FROM YOUR FAMILY.

MONDAY: State Representative George Darany reads to K and 1st gr. @ 10:30 am in the media center. He will be joined by Ms. Jacqui-Rivait.

TUESDAY: Parent Talk with Ms. Margaret King Ahmad in the cafeteria @ 9am. RECYCLING DAY

WEDNESDAY: PISTON’S  Mascot Hooper visits Oakman School at 1:15 pm for a PEP RALLY!!!. All students will get a free ticket (with a paying adult) to the last home game in Detroit in April. This means for EACH  free ticket  there has to be a paid ticket as well. This game will be packed with Stars and shows at pre-game and half-time because it is the last game of the season. DON’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR A FREE TICKET FOR YOUR CHILD AND A GREAT FAMILY EVENT. Details to follow. ALL FAMILIES WELCOME TO WATCH THIS FUN SHOW AT OAKMAN ON WEDNESDAY.

THURSDAY: Parent Talk in the cafeteria @ 9am.  PTA MARKETPLACE open every THURSDAY afterschool. (formerly the 5th Grade School Store)

FRIDAY: Peter and the Wolf Presentation for K-5 in the gym @ 1pm

5TH GRADE GOES TO SEE THE PISTONS PLAY MIAMI HEAT @ 4:30 pm. Bus leaves @ 5pm sharp! 20 lucky 5th graders get to high five the Miami Heat players in the tunnel.
