The March is Reading Month Committee has great plans for you and your children at Oakman School.
Guest Readers: We want to encourage as many parents, family and community members to come into the classroom to be guest readers.
Please complete and send the invitation in your child’s backpack by Friday, March 8th. if you would like to be our guest.
Lists will be posted outside doors to see how many readers each class can get.
Calendar of Events: Each child received a calendar of events to take home. The calendar includes reading activities that they can do nightly at home for each day. Please remind students of the events planned for school and have them participate in the fun!
D.E.A.R. Time: We will have a school wide D.E.A.R. time on Fridays during the month of March at 3:00 to 3:30 p.m..
Door Decorating Contest: Let’s show our creative flair and make the door entry special during this month. We will have 2 winners –one for K-2 and one for 3rd-5th. Please ask your teacher if you can help make their door the best!
Teachers will be taking pictures and blogging all these wonderful activities.
