Dear Oakman Parents,
We need you this coming week! Please volunteer to help your child’s teacher decorate the classroom pumpkin which is due on Monday. Take it home or come into the class and help decorate. See pictures below of years past for ideas. Each vote by your child is a quarter and the winners will be announced at the end of Boo Bash
Wednesday, October 28th will be our annual Pumpkin Patch. The children will pick their very own pumpkin in a spooky patch in the gym. We ask that each student bring in $1.00 for this event. Parents please volunteer on TUESDAY to go and get the pumpkins from the Dearborn Farm Market on Monroe. It is for your child so give two hours of your time and volunteer!
**We ask that every parent please send in 1 bag of individually wrapped Halloween candy with their children to give to their teacher so that we are able to pass it out during our BOO BASH activities. If you are unable to donate a bag of Halloween candy we ask you to please donate $1.00 so that we are able to cover the cost of the Halloween candy.
** On Friday October 30th from 4:30-6:00 join the PTA and Oakman Staff for the BOO BASH. Entrance fee is $2.00 and will include a treat for each child. There will be pizza sold so don’t eat dinner at home! There will be baked goods and snacks, as well as Book Bingo, all available for purchase in the cafeteria. We will also have a spooky movie, Halloween activities, storytelling, and Halloween crafts. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes.
