Dear Parents/Guardians of 2022/2023 Kindergarten Children:
What: Kindergarten Round-Up is our way of enrolling your child at Oakman Elementary School and gives us the opportunity to meet and get acquainted with one another.
When: Friday, March 18th, 2022
Where: Round-Up meeting will be from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the cafeteria.
Who: Parents only meeting—Short but informative meeting!
Important Information
(Your child must be 5 years of age by September 1, 2022 to register for kindergarten for the 2022/2023 school year. For current Dearborn residents, waivers must be signed by June 1, 2022. After June 1, 2022, residents new to the Dearborn area must have waivers signed by August 15, 2022. Waiver forms are available in the Oakman office).
Enclosed are Physical forms. Make your appointments as soon as possible. Physical forms are due on the first day of school. Please note: (Preschool physicals are not accepted). Also, enclosed is a blue enrollment form. Please fill out and bring the day of Kindergarten Round Up.
Enrollment Packet
Please bring the following completed information to Kindergarten Round Up:
- Your child’s original birth certificate. This needs to be copied by school personnel.
- Enrollment blue form for your student.
- Proof of residency and driver’s license. (See enclosed blue information sheet on what is acceptable).
- Immunization Records. State Law Requires that no child will be able to start school unless he/she has the immunization records up to date.
- Guardianship papers if applicable.
If you find it impossible to attend the Kindergarten Round Up meeting or your child will not be attending Oakman in the fall, Please call the office at (313) 827-6500. Otherwise, we will be looking forward to seeing you on March 18th, at 9:30 a.m.
