Please join us Friday, August 23rd from 12-1:30 at Oakman Elementary for Open House! Come meet your child’s new teacher and visit the classroom. We have backpacks filled with basic school supplies for our students courtesy of Communities in Schools (first come first serve). Also, we’ll have a few male barbers giving free boys haircuts from 707 Hair Factory for Oakman students (first come first serve).
We’ll have halal grilled hotdogs and halal hamburgers for our families. If you sign up to become a PTA member, your name will automatically be entered to win a prize. We can’t wait to see you all on Friday, August 23 from 12 to 1:30.
*Some parents have reached out about a suggested school supply list. Many of the basic school supplies will be included in the backpacks that will be passed out during open house.
We highly recommend purchasing headphones (wired) for your child to use when using a Chromebook in the classroom. Please label the headphones with your child’s name. We also suggest brining in tissue boxes and personal hand sanitizer.
